Jennifer Krantz

Jennifer Krantz is currently Director of Creative Learning Opportunities and Research at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design (MIAD). At MIAD since 1988, she has held a variety of leadership positions and assumed multiple responsibilities in areas of academic planning and management, as well as coordination of various retention-related programs.

Her teaching credentials include degree classes at the former Louisville School of Art, the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, and MIAD. She previously worked at the Illinois Arts Council in the Artists-in-Education Program and as Curator of Education for the Chicago Center for Ceramic Art.

Director Krantz was first elected to the Commission in 2016.

She completed her Master of Fine Arts degree at Arizona State University and received Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees in Painting/Drawing and Printmaking, with a minor in Art History, from Northern Illinois University. She has also studied in the post-graduate Art History and Criticism program at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
